I may have won a Japanese maple on auction. I'm hoping my vision for an angle change and this pot I have. Can be accomplished. That it arrives dormant. *Played around in editing.

Got some cool rocks for cheap at a local aquarium store. Want to try my first root-over-rock plantings. I have either scots pine or japanese red pine seedlings from last year that I could use. Any input on which to choose?
