What’s your latest Bonsai related purchase?

I recently took a stroll on the European Bonsai Auction page (FB) and well.. I'm more of a deciduous guy but just couldn't pass on the learning chance I could get with this Spruce.
It's a yamadori, collected from a seller's friend.
(pictures are his, as the tree should come home within next weekend)

I know it's a mess with all them branches twisting, but I'll do some main selection next spring. Way too many branches in there.
I've also ordered some 3mm,2mm,1mm copper wire for the bending/future directioning.

We'll see, but I'm definitely excited about it😄
Good pick. From Nik Rozman right?
Nik always has good quality material

You got me! 😄
Definitely not the first tree of him that I've been interested to.
It just happened I lost a maple to fungal infection and got an "empty" spot in the garden🙃

Picked up what I believe is my last tree before winter comes.
Carol beat me... LOL, I also keep telling myself that.

Mikawa Yatsubusa seedling from MrMaple arrived today. I brought down my shade cloth, as we officially entered "fall" in central Texas. Going to build an area just for trees that need protection from the sun during summer.

Today (an after a 9 months period saying to myself I didn´t need any new tree) I bought for 14$ what I belive are four chamaecyparis obtusa (?) (nurserie said they were thuja occidentalis). So each one was 3.5$. They are a bit weak (bad care) and in rubbish soil, but I have confidence I can restore them.

Each one is a clump (3 to 6 trunks born from the same tree). I bought them for a forest project, so I think it will be fine.
This one took my eye and I made some preliminary wiring....

I hope you got it from Wigerts and not a reseller. The markup on these has been insane to watch.
Agree. I've seen so many trees on the FB auctions, obviously in Wigert's pots with jacked up prices. Pretty crappy, if you ask me. I SO wanted to out them but it's my husband's FB account and I pretend I don't know how to get on there. ;)

Much smaller than I thought it would be, but perfect for watering my tropicals in my basement office.

Absolutely love mine. Get a valve turn off so you can control water at flick of a thumb. 😉

Mine has taken a beating. Fell off a story high railing to concrete...never bothered it. Left forgotten in winter outside. The nozzle popped off from being frozen. Slipped back on without skipping a beat.

I bought more seeds... like I didn't have enough already.

Going to have to figure out the best placement so I can germinate them during winter.

Crape Myrtle seeds? I thought we are in Crape Myrtle heaven here in TX. I got volunteers all over my yard.
