Seed Sowing Successes

I have around 100 of these relatively rare (dinosaur) trees of various sizes. If anyone is interested in trading for one of these (or any other species that I’ve posted on this thread) please shoot me a message.

Late to this forum, but I’ve been trying to grow Sciadopitys seedlings for some time with no luck. Do you mind sharing what you’re doing to get such success??

So today I had succes with propagating various species -Photinia Villosa, Cornus Kousa and Crataegus (Monogyna and Laevigata). I know how hard it is to propagate Hawthorn so I felt the need to post my method, which I have taken from an Iranian article. I gathered the seeds 6 months ago and they germinated yesterday! The method is a scarification technique with hydrogen peroxide (2 hour soak in 1% concentration) and then a layered stratification: 4 weeks cold, 2 weeks warm, 4 weeks cold, 2 weeks warm, 4 weeks cold and then sowing. They germinated in a humidity dome within a week under 18h a day growlight and a heatmat at 68 degrees Farhenheit. Very happy to have this result. Next I will try to germinate Crataegus Persimilis (prune-leaved hawthorn) this way.
