Hinoki Sekka

Many people dunk their bonsai/pot in barrels of water periodically to get the core of the root ball saturated. This is not a daily activity but maybe weekly during the summer for certain trees with perc. issues. Submerge until bubbles stop and you know its saturated.
Some of the old school guys around here also incorporate a dunk into their repotting routine.
I can see the benefits of a dunk after a dry spell. Is it going to save a tree from death? No.
OP, after this heat you will know for sure if its alive or dead. Best wishes.
