So I posted somewhere about buying three conifers, I bought a itoigawa juniper, an alberta spruce, and an english yew. All small starter trees. So I have now checked the Yew out and decided it needs to go in a bigger pot. Anyway to my horror as I was working through I found 2 white grubs! Deep within the roots.

Here is the little tree as I got it, before my discovery!

I have read about grubs and bugs and all kinds, they were all white in colour but I didnt pic them, I was horrified and binned them lol! Anyway, my question is should I be worried? I took care to ensure there were no others. :(

Kim,

I didn't realize you were up on the island.!

I would worry more about how Much root work you did looking for bugs, more so than the bugs themselves!

Hmm yes there is that, though I was gentle and did try not to remove too much being such a small tree, but once I saw one I was worried there might be others :(

I assume you took 'em out and stomped upon them. That was the right thing to do. After you plant if a good bonsai soil, you are less likely to fine any more.
