I feel your pain. But I imagine pretty soon I'll be bitching about the humidity and the mosquitoes, so it is was it is.It was 83 Saturday, 70 something yesterday with rain, and tonight 29 to 33 with highs in the 50’s tomorrow and Wednesday.

Need to set up a sprinkler so I can be away for a weekend trip.
Since I will be at this house no more than 3 years. I won't set up drip irrigation. It will be sprinklers. More water use and less optimal watering but that will have to do.That's my task when back in town, setting up drip irrigation. More for garden plants than bonsai, but they could be added for vacation purposes
You think she doesn't know? Come on Joe. She knows! She just lets you be you. After more than 40 years of marriage, mine does that all the time now. I just push my idiosyncrasy limits and she'll let me know when it's too much.Collecting interesting native plants to go into my wildflower addition to my bonsai garden. Some of the seedlings of the American Meadows flower mix have started coming up. Watering this section every day. I plan on getting another couple of pup banana plants of a different variety to go in one corner of the wildflower garden. I have 3 varieties so far. My goal is to make a living fence around the new addition to give me the feeling of an oasis. I've already let certain "weeds" grow up and cover the areas around the new garden addition. I was surprised and excited when I jumped a cottontail from under my blackberry bushes. So far 3 different species of non-venomous snake have taken residence. Please don't tell my wife!!
Do share your plan. Mebbe I'll copy you.I'm not doing anything fancy, about $70 of parts from Amazon and a heat gun. Results not guaranteed
Well, she's come to terms with the lizards.........she HATES lizards. Snakes would make her freak for sure. I did try to chase off the 5 foot blue racer but it wanted to stay. They are harmless, but try to tell HER that! You think she doesn't know? Come on Joe. She knows! She just lets you be you. After more than 40 years of marriage, mine does that all the time now. My lady was chased by a water moccasin once. That thing was truly ornery. It looked at her, rose up and started chasing. Luckily I was there and ended the moccasin with my shovel. Nowadays she will tell people to shut it if they tell her a snake won't chase people.Well, she's come to terms with the lizards.........she HATES lizards. Snakes would make her freak for sure. First collect for a mature one - glad to hear this. Didn’t go crazy but definitely right-sized the roots! It's an American elm.....no babying necessary. (Nice material though)

The trouble with me going to Houston is that I have way too many kins and friends there. Like all Vietnamese usually act, they all want me to visit every time I go to HoustonCajun, You sound like a handy man. How about make a trip to Katy to help me rearrange me plants and set up the sprinkler system so I can have weekend get away too. All beer or whatever you want to drink.

If I drink, I will be sotted and can't go home. This old sailor can't hold much liquor these days.
Yes. Come and visit if you ever decide to go to the casino. If you come, bring something to horse trade for the honking stump of BC you wanted.I like your honesty uncle Cajun! Are you around Lake Charles?
