What’s your latest Bonsai related purchase?

Got the new hot bonsai book and a wire cutter. Been struggling to get into tight spots with the standard one and decided it was time. Just have to mark the handle with copper tape.

Just tried it inline to my sprinkler system and it blew out miracle grow solution all around the o ring. It sucks…. Going back to Amazon lol

Bought half a bag of small kanuma and a wire brush from my friend's Bonsai business. Bought a tiny gold Japanese barberry from the garden center.

I think the picture is a little deceiving. It's 14" tall from the soil up and the trunk is just under 1 1/2". So a little bigger than it looks.

18yo korean hornbeam imported from japan in a vintage pot. acquired this weekend.

Korean Hornbeam and Fuji Cherry from Cedar Rose. I think I can airlayer the hornbeam and get two trees for one. The shipping charges ended up being $25, but it was because of the size of the box used. While MrMaple fold the trees over, they sent a box tall enough for the hornbeam to fit without being broken down or folder over.



I'm a fan of the colors, can't wait till fall!

I got 12 Gallons of BonsaiJack Organic Bonsai Soil Mix 221 two weeks ago and I got my 10th chopstick. No, handful of gritty mix for me. Does anyone else have a chopstick in their car?

Anything in training so 99% of my trees. It's 40% Lava, 40% Bonsai Block(calcined clay), 20% Pine Bark Fines. No, soil wars talk, it works for me.
Looks like this when wet.
