I realize I never showed the whole construction site this is..

The worst of a three-tree deal from a growers field who was clearing arrived in my garden in early november 2019:

Long term project, or.. for sale once I have made the main cuts and have it properly repotted. Or whenever I am fed up and get an offer that is fitting.

I love the documentation. What are your plans for this spring?
Thank you!

I feel this tree has a year of good growth ahead; I repotted it in fall, and did some pruning & gentle wiring to at least have the branches connected at an OK angle. I will now let a few branches run a bit, to get some growth on these cuts.

Great progress. I must be doing something wrong with my maples, I never seem to get the same growth as others get. Maybe Im not fertilizing enough or giving them too much sun.

or the species. These are not clearly anything besides a green japanese maple. They do a metre+ each year

Its possible, but mine are regular APs also of no particular variety. Even my other maples though dont go nuts like others.
