how does the irrigation system work? Is it on a timer? Where do you buy the parts?
It did it’s job. I could leave town for a week or 2 and not have losses. The previous owner had a timer on it. I would get parts at the local hardware or HD.

Your layout is great, think you can share your specs on wood lengths, types, and dept you installed. I posted a picture that I'm trying to do next year. Seven is the maximum number of tree I'm planning to collect and train.
Here you go. All built with pressure-treated pine and deck screws. They look good, but are not very versatile for siting the trees. I have been tempted to build new benches that are longer to accommodate several trees, but I need 2 rows and accessing trees at the higher level will be a challenge. I may do fewer individual stands on the lower level and several long benches at the upper level. Or I may just enjoy it as is.

I remember when I told myself 10 max...

currently doing the in-and-out shuffle, but here's 45 trees, there's 20 more behind me, and maybe 300-500 cuttings. it got out of hand quickly LOL

i had a new area and pergola planned for this spring - that got pushed to spring 2020

This is my main area.

And I have 4 individual stands along the edge of the yard.

I like the cafeteria self-serve layout. A whole family of deer can just poke their heads out and snatch a taste of this or that and move on down the line to the next entrèe, then duck back out without leaving a tip! Have you applied for P.E.T.A. certification?

...Although... It does present a good opportunity if your back porch faces it, up range...

I’m still in the planning phase of my new bonsai garden. I need to get some hardscape work done first, then set the benches.

Meanwhile, I’m playing around with this idea:

The benches aren’t full height yet, just need to stack more pavers. The columns are the large brick pavers, and the shelf is 3 twelve foot 4x6s. Heavy! But, no sag either!

For now, I’ve got most of the trees up off the ground:

Added on to my existing setup. Still needs a good coat of peonfin, plus I plan on adding a piece of shade clothe to cover the entire structure. One that can be pulled back when needed. The rest of the yard will get monkey poles, may 4 or 5 spread the out the flower beds. 48255114-01F8-4142-9240-5FE2A2D547E3.jpeg0F641F74-226A-4F97-B833-067130DE7124.jpegE88289F0-C397-48AC-929E-63DD59BFD04E.jpeg
