I like yew

Ummm. After 2 weeks of growth it seems the tips looks a bit too yellowy.
I was thinking maybe soil was not acidic enough. So I added some Espoma Organic Soil Acidifier. Not much though. That has worked for the blueberry (to its left) last year but took like three months to kick in.

Now, this is my first growing season with this tree and I don't know if this is normal. The neighborhood Yew hedges looks really similar to mines but mines a bit more yellowy.
Is this cause for concern? Is it lacking N?

This is the neighborhood Yew. Kinda similar in color but a bit less yellow.

No concern, looks great.
 
It'll green up...
And one of my 4 is quite yellow compared to the others....more yellow than yours.. ..but growing equally as strong, actually stronger...
 
Thanks for the reasuraance @just.wing.it :). It's actually more yellow than the pic shows. Which was why I was concerned.

I always attribute yellowing to some sort of deficiency or other issue.

If a local supermarket/ land owner allow me to collect a ugly gnarly Yew, this one might head your way!
