Hello!

Thanks all! Not sure how I missed out on this forum for so long =) Dave, I may be there to check out the trees but not bending. I think the next time I will be vending will be with Dave P at MABS in the spring, if I can put together enough stock between now and then.

Cool...you know what to do:). I'll be hanging with Adair, by the way, and I think Eli will be there vending. Should be fun.

Welcome, Roy. I've admired your pottery ever since I got wind of it. Glad you've joined this forum! I live in Lexington SC. There are several folks in the Midlands doing bonsai. Some (not me) on a very high level. Are there many bonsai nuts upstate?

Oh come on now Beth... you have some great stuff! Your Chinese Quince in the Carolina show is a killer tree! Wish I had some better pics of it...

Roy, as I am sure you can tell- many are going to be real excited to see you on here! Love your pots! We need to get you to come to Cola sometime!

Super nice chinese quince. Love the pot too.

I realize the picture is taken from an angle, but were their any comments about tree placement? Seems like the tree is leaning right and might look better on the left. Hard to tell though since the picture is not straight on.

Difficult tree. The trunk comes out of the ground moving left. But the apex moves to the right.

Under "Classical" styling conventions, the apex should move in the same direction as the lower trunk.

I'm a bonsai potter just getting started really, only been at it for a little while now. Have some treesas well. I live in South Carolina.
I absolutely love what you're doing Roy! Your glazes are spectacular. Keep up the good work!
