A truly impressive collection! I had the honor and unique opportunity to visit Walter's garden last August. So much to see that you literally don't know where to look next. So needless to say highly recommended if you are in Germany. A bit surreal to see trees that are so well known in the flesh. Hard to pick a favorite and almost impossible to do so. But... if I had to pick one today I'd have to go with this one!! I must have stared at it forever. To say it was an impressive tree would not begin to describe it.

Thanks, Sergio! I am glad I'm finding all this out now. We do a show in Nuremberg every year (this will be my 12th) and I lived in Wiesbaden for two years a long while back. I will just have to arrange a visit with my sales channel maybe in August. I have Walter's garden on the bucket list now with other visits to Munich (a lovely city)!!!

We have very similar weather in lower Michigan as you have in the Munich area. It was almost 60*F yesterday! Happy New Year!

I believe I am correct in saying it's a Norway spruce (Picea abies). Perhaps Walter can confirm.
