Fuchsia appreciation thread?

Only just lost all its leaves with the recent winds . I don't even know if it's Hardy or not I lost the label
Usually they get some or a lot of dieback. But usually they sprout back up near the trunk.

@Clorgan Looking good, could use a bit of a trim back, otherwise with new growth and then in flower it might look a bit out of porpotion.
Last week i have put three of the grown cutting from last year in full ground. Leaving them there for a few years to grow. Keeping my other cuttings in small pots.

Cheers! Hadn't thought about the proportions, I was thinking of cutting as little as possible tbh to encourage thickening.

I'm sure they'll grow a lot in the ground 👍🏻 My one I planted has thickened a lot in less than two years

Keep us updated!

Just dug my ground fuchsia up and potted. Hoping I've left enough roots?? Hoping I did, as this one could be rather nice!

First photo is just dug, next ones are roots left. Hope I didn't get too carried away 😅

Wow, what a great thread!

Like @Carol 83 says, I have only ever seen fuchsia for sale in hanging baskets during the spring flower season. Now I have spent a happy hour searching the Internet for "hardy fuchsia". I have found several vendors here in USA so hope to order two or three plants.
