Flowers 2024

To learn and experiment, I took softwood cuttings from a cherry tree in the neighbourhood in early summer (june). Fast foward to the present day, it is currently fall here in sweden and one of the cuttings decided to produce a flower. Beautiful!

Does anyone have an explanation for this behaviour?

I'd say that it's healthy and a bit confused. :) I'd be curious to see if it flowers next spring.

I have to ask if you know the variety. My son took a beautiful photo of (probably) this rose variety, and I would love to get one for my wife.

While they have developed beyond the flower stage, they are still as pretty as a Spring bouquet.

Besides, as far as I know there is not a thread started for “Fall Fruits, Berries, Pods, Catkins, Nuts, and Seed Filled Cones” or “Fall Foliage & Colors”.
I thought about starting those threads but, then I thought maybe that’s too much botanical and not enough bonsai.
