Flowers 2022

Reminds me when I was up there, and my car was covered with snow. Hopefully we can meet up at the National Show next year, if not the MABS show in Jersey.

Those are beautiful. Funny how so many of us also have orchids.
The flowers look like an orchid, but the plant is actually a bush. Dave gave me a cutting when I was up at his place. This plant has been flowering now for weeks. I can send you a cutting once spring comes if you want.

Saw these at the Pre-Thanksgiving farmers market in Eastern Market today. Cabbages made into "Rose" bouquets. Love the purple.

These are actual ornamental breeds of cabbage, the same as you'd get from the grocery store or grow in your garden. They're very popular garden plants in many areas of the coastal Pacific Northwest where it can be cloudy and rainy much of the year. Brassicas thrive in those conditions while many common flowers won't, and they require very little care in that climate, some being semi-perineal.
They are edible like other cabbage, but not quite so palatable.

Any idea what the name of this "bush" is? Is it tropical or temperate?

That would be awesome, thanks!
You got it! It's really a pretty plant and the flowers are long lasting too. I'm really happy that @ABCarve gave me a cutting. Now I'll be sending you a cutting. Lol, this plant will be scattered across the US soon.

And hopefully I'll be able to send a cutting to someone else and so on and so on. As the holiday approaches, so thankful for all of the generous people here.
