Flowers 2022

Today's crop (minus a few ones I brought to my mother) :

The weather is unusually hot and dry here, but I water them every day and the fruit are really delicious, full of sun, very tasty.

I also planted courgettes of several sorts : yellow ones (sweeter than the green ones), round ones (ideal to be filled with 3/4 minced pork, 1/4 veal mince meat, parsley, garlic, any herbs you like, etc.) but they didn't yield much, contrary to other years.

I also tried a "butternut" and a "FR : potimarron", but though they made vines at least 5 meters long (15 feet), I only have one of each so far, where they could find a shaded place, to my surprise.

Alain!!!

Good to see you!

Either I've not been on here as much.. or YOU haven't...or both. 😂😂

Interesting News-type stuff I'd love to discuss with you! ;)

Actually, I'm trying to get rid of some of my addictions : tobacco (very hard), alcohol (OK, but I still "plunge" into it, easy to know : that's when I reply to, or start a thread about vaccines, or politics, screens (that, I can manage more and more).

But I like this place, so if ever I don't post after one week, then all my trees will be on sale :D

In Europe only, sorry 😏

I hope you and your family are fine. I'm OK, thanks. 👍

@AlainK , @hinmo24t , @Arnold these are fruits not flowers, folks… 😜

OK, OK ! :D

But fruit are only mature flowers are they not ? Like samars of Acers, or cones from a pine. Huh ? (😁)

All right, here are some flowers, the first pick is Hibicus syriacus. As we say in French "j'ai caressé l'idée", literally "I caressed the thought of" making it a bonsai, but I gave up the idea and planted it in my garden, to the pleasure of various bees and butteflies.

Another one that has flowered for weeks in its little pot, but I don't remember its name :

But just as colorful at times:)

True.
A novelty in my garden, I have never seen any in shops, or tasted them : Solanum muricatum.
Perhaps some of those who live in warmer climates know the plant. The fruit on mine are just beginning to get mature, pale green and purple :
