Flowers 2022

The Chicory around my area flowered last weekend, couple of spots on my drive home had hundreds of them. I almost stopped to take a picture, but didn't.
Been driving by them for days, and finally made a moment for it. Wish I could get it to grow in my yard in stead of the weeds that are there.

Came home from work today to find this on my hibiscus.

A ruffled peach colored blossom!
I know it's three in one pot - haven't gotten around to splitting them up yet - but I haven't seen one like this before. I'm debating on taking that branch as a cutting, or could it be that a different cultivar got mixed up in the bunch when the nursery planted them.

Anyone ever see a hibiscus like this before?

Yes, I have several. Mine have pink, yellow, double red and the double peach on one plant. My favorite hibiscus.

Cool.
I imagine it's different varieties grafted on to the same rootstock, or do these ones really just make different flowers at will?

I imagine they are different varieties grafted. But I have 4 of them. ;)

Has anyone else in the central US had strange issues with anything flowery this year?
My flower bed has struggled all summer, my squash keep flowering but not developing fruit, as do my cucumbers and beans, and just discovered some of my hibiscus are dropping unopened flowers though the rest of the plant looks in good health. My tomatoes are huge, but have very little fruit. I can't even get my carrots, radishes or herbs to flower so I can collect seeds.
Plenty of pollinators around, and the peppers are all doing very well.

It just so widespread among different plants in different places, in ground or pots, shade or sun, that I can't identify anything I might be doing wrong.
