Broken branches and white glue.

@fredman, this sounds like a good idea, do you know of anyone has had success with this approach?

Because grafting tape can harbor moisture (like glues possibly could), do you foresee fungal issues being a problem -I just say this because with grafts I’ve seen folks spray something like daconil prior to grafting....

I like this idea of quasi-grafting a branch back to itself to heal

Fred, do you have indicators or thoughts visual etc. of tape removal?

TBH I don't know. Never used it, but it's made to protect damaged limbs on trees.
The idea of using it occurred to me while watching a Peter Warren video. He said he uses it to wrap big cuts so it don't bulge to much. He wraps that first then black insulation tape over it.
 
Here's what I do, it works like a charm. Wrap wire tightly around the break as soon as possible, setting it like it's a broken bone. Then, smear the break area with liquid cut paste. The cut paste will stimulate growth due to the hormones in it, which knits the break together. When repaired, take the wire off.
