I'm really not a Sugar Coater. They both may have some promise because they have movement but it's going to take years to find out. They'll need to go in the ground and given time to fatten up.Thanks that helps a million. This is what I'm currently looking at buying View attachment 168495 View attachment 168496
In a friends swamp land that has given you permission to take whatever you want. If you have a Mom & Pop Nursery near you try to befriend the owner and you'd be surprised how helpful they can be.Where does one find something of that caliber???
There are also members here on B-Nut that sell them @BillsBayou .Where does one find something of that caliber???
Thanks! Big trees have issues. I've been trying to find a reasonably priced pot for two years. I believe I found a Chinese one that will work for now but if I ever decide to put it in a quality pot it's going to be expensive, very expensive. That tree is incredible!!! BTW! I would never be able to afford anything even close to that and really don't know anyone with woods. I live beachside and haven't lived in Florida very long
Looks like a Pond Cypress on the far right next to a Bald Cypress.Dragon tree bonsai near Stuart fl has really great selection and pricingView attachment 168505
I didn't ask, there were several tables of great material starting at 40 or so, I think the next break was 70 or 80, perfect range for me as a new.Any idea how much those in the pics are going for?

Best source online for BC I have ever seen (and I've looked hard over the years) is our own Zach Smith at Bonsai South. I've gotten a couple of excellent BC from him over the years.Where does one find something of that caliber???
