Bald cypress fungus?

I have some brown patches on one of my bald cypress in my forest. It’s the only one. Most of it has it on it. Looks healthy

Looks like damage from rust mites to me. I would try a systemic miticide. It's not generally deadly to the tree, but unsightly and can stunt growth.

Would it be on just one tree. It’s in a forest other trees don’t have it.

It could have started in that tree and just not migrated yet. The mites may also be attacking the weaker trees.

Do you have suggestions here? I've only found Kontos - and it's like $275 a bottle.
