I wouldn't repot it now. You may be able to slip pot, but it's too risky for me, and I'd wait til spring before the buds break.

Whoops, too late. I think it will be okay. I didn’t disturb the root ball. Hopefully didn’t cause it’s got a lot of new roots already. This was the largest semi flat pot I had. I think this should be good for a couple of years or more. Without putting it in my front yard, this is the sunniest location I can give it. 7-8 hours of sun most of the year. It will be with the Bougainvilleas and Dessert Roses that also like good sun.

Like I said it should be okay. It's all about risk tolerance level, and mine is currently low.

Guess it liked the repot into a bigger pot with wet soil. Bursted out in new growth all over.
