Anyone's Ginkgo still sleeping?

I bought an imported Ginkgo back in October when it still had full leaf, we had a very cold winter and now the tree still in dormant despite the last 4+ weeks has been in the 70-80s. Buds are there but none have popped yet or showing any green. Anyone had this problem before? Thanks in advance.

Mine in fully leafed out … though have to say was last one to come… and Shanghai weather much hotter… fingers crossed for yours.

How do the buds look? Photo?

Ginkgo are among the last to wake up in Spring. It's almost always a case of 'Everything else is growing. I wonder what's happened to the ginkgo?' Then the buds start to show some green.
Give it a few more weeks.
And stop scratching branches. Wounds only let pest and disease into your sleeping trees.

I would try not to overly stress. I think as well with yours it didn't have time to acclimate to our seasons.

Give it some time, but I have already pruned back 18” shoots on mine. It spent a few days in the garage instead of outside during a cold snap, so all of my stuff woke up a little early. I’d say yours is late, but don’t give up on it; they are hardy in very cold climates.

While I don't have any as Bonsai, my neighborhood Ginkgo are still mostly asleep, only a couple with a few leaves out. Since I don't live far from you, It doesn't surprise me if yours is still asleep, but it should start waking up soon with the warmer weather recently.

I wish mine were just late but the late hard freeze was devastating for them. They all look like crap and most were leafed out. This happened about 12 years back when I only had one 30 year old ginkgo and it set the plant back quite a bit. It essentially lost a years growth. This year was much worse and I have many dozens of ginkgo that look like trash now. Sadly, many of my dwarf cultivars were killed. By far my worst winter ever.

My ginkgo trees fake me out every year, without fail. Your buds look good. Give it time.

I was fine until that last freeze. It was officially 26F and I suspect it was 24F at my house. Almost everything was leaved out. Lost many JMs, including many rare cultivars, many ginkgo, and several Stewartia. My worst loses by far in over 40 years. I can't "not think about it" because I am throwing stuff away almost daily and creating piles of plants that are still in the wait and see category. Lesson learned is that I have more than I can care for and not getting any younger.
When they lift the burn ban I am having a bonfire.

I have a bunch of Ginkgos. Some have leafed out, some just breaking bud, others yet to show much signs. Your's looks pretty healthy!

Wow that's a monster of a ginkgo! I have one much smaller one that I picked up last summer. Buds are starting to open just now so yours is definitely late compared to mine (especially since I'm further north). Hopefully it's just being a little lazy.

Mine are awake. The only things still sleeping in my garden are the hornbeams and crape myrtle (and I think at least on of the Myrtle’s is dead).

Funny … My hornbeams been awake for a while now … Have to trim back soon… Crapes don’t wake up here till like Jun lol.

Don't worry. One of the slowest but mine have started now. The dwarf one is still a little behind. My tall skinny one in the garden was even slower but its surpassed the miniature ones now.Look way way up. It was so slow I was using binoculars.

You can tell on the trunk where I just grab it to move it arround. Thats one sturdy miniature tree.
