Been doing Bonsai almost 3 years. Self taught from blogs, videos, and help from the owner of a central Jersey Bonsai Nursey. I have some awesome trees which are coming along great, but there's always some needed improvement. Have about 40+ trees of all different types of species. Maybe trying to find someone who is experienced enough to show me some techniques. My trees are healthy and thriving , but I'm at the point where I need to start styling better and getting the tree ready for its future. Always done better with learning hands on. My local Bonsai Club I can't make because my work schedule.:( But if there is anyone in my area willing to give a guy some pointers, opinions, and maybe help me decided how to style some of these trees I have be great. "I'll Buy The Beer!!"Ha ha ha Also be great to meet a new friend who is into bonsai in my area. Always good to get a second judgment or be corrected when wrong. I'm basically alone out here as I know of. Yeah I no this may sound like a "Craigslist add" ha ha, but I could use the help a lot. Thanks again.

Have you considered making the trip to Nature's Way Bonsai in Harrisburg, PA. It looks like they have workshops and classes going on all the time.

It is on my list to visit some time. I just spent a few days at Hershey Park but didn't have the time to make it over to Nature's Way. Maybe next year.

Not sure if this is the Club you were referring to, but I just went to my first meeting of the Deep Cut Bonsai Club in Middletown NJ last month. It's only $25 a year, and there is about 20+ members of varying skill levels. The most experienced members have been practicing bonsai since the 80's. Being brand new, I got a lot out of it. If you are willing to make the commute, I am sure you can get something out of it.
