Aleppo Pine

From what ive read they are actually a mediterrian red pine. They get 3 flushes of growth a year. The guy i read the article from says once ramification is satisfactory he will treat his like a japanese red pine. Not sure how he is going to do that with that much growth in a season.

Well first Aleppo did don't make it..I pruned to hard while it was still hot. I got another one and will try again

It can be from what I understand in the category of a meditrian red pine.
Its in the same category as a stone pine.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. Not much on them in the U.S. I did read the first year you candle prune you wait until late august. Then after that work it like a JRP.

I have been told that you should treat Aleppo pine like JBP. This one lives in Columbia.
