8th U.S. National Bonsai Exhibition, Rochester, NY, USA, September 9-10, 2023

Have you tried airbnbs? I thought the rates were comparable, and some have multiple rooms so you can split with others. Otherwise i thought the hotels closer to downtown rochester were reasonable too.
All the hotels (under $300 a night)I looked at all had the 8th, 9th, and even the 10th booked. I will looki nto the bnbs though. Does BnB rent to solos in new york?

Any number of people (or singletons) can rent an airbnb. Right by the venue I see a few under $150 a night options for 8-10. Closer to downtown rochester which isn’t too far a drive, lot more options.

Rochester is an easy city to drive. It's got limited traffic and it's spread out. A 10 mile distance from the venue is a 15 minute trip

Might be an obvious statement but It is kicking in that this will be bigger than the winter silloette show.

Thank you. I havent been to New York to stay the night before either. Knowing its not like traffic in southern california (had a great time there though) is very helpful.

I don’t think anywhere else in the u.s. has the traffic of Southern California……… probably not a wonder why there are so many bonsai clubs, there is no way people would want to commute If there was only one major club. I don’t know how they will handle the olympics, there really isn’t much in the way of public transit. I had actually debated flying onto buffalo directly and taking the train into rochester, it would have been cheaper and faster !

actually! I’m flying into Buffalo! I have family there so my uncle is giving me a ride, and it turns out it would have been cheaper to fly into Rochester directly. I wanted to visit my family though. Flying into Buff and flying out of Rochester.

Exponentially larger and with more names in attendance

This is a 3-D tour of the last one. Unfortunately, they've edited out the vendor section, which had some great stuff.

Has anyone been charged for their tickets or gotten any confirmation beyond the email response to the form submission?

We just got charged for our fourth vendor table, I checked out the shopping cart maybe last week or so.

We actually have an extensive rail system connecting much of Southern California. It’s being expanded even more for the Olympics.

I got charged this past weekend. I will take that as the positive indication I've got tickets that I have been looking for.

Same here. I am assuming my receipt is the ticket.

What was the subject line for your receipt? I know I bought one but I'm having trouble digging up the old email confirmation now...

I have a hotel so I guess I'll be there regardless...

"Order Form Confirmation Message"

I did get charged too. I think we pickup tickets when we get there using name.

Wish i could go this year. Work obligations on Friday and the following Monday prevent me from bring able to drive up there.
