Very nice! Any tips for getting them rooted? I'll be looking to take cuttings from this one this spring. I have a second with similar size trunk, about an inch, untouched in its nursery pot.Not sure, maybe 4 or 5 years ago, I'm guessing they may have doubled in trunk diameter, lots of top growth though and fairly good rootage.
What do you think? Maybe 40 more yrs to catch this one?

Just keep them moist and out of direct sun and they should root easily.Very nice! Any tips for getting them rooted? I'll be looking to take cuttings from this one this spring. I have a second with similar size trunk, about an inch, untouched in its nursery pot.
Well, it did sprout. I dug it up and put inthe pot today. It went from 26" tall to 2", but it's alive. And found that rabbits completely girdled one of the gingkos I grew from seed. It happened a whole back and I put a cage around it, but I did not see they ate the bark off all the way around. Could've airlayerd it. Bottom part already calloused and top part is dying. Hopefully it'll spout from the roots.
Stupid rabbits.

Did this come as a kit or put it together yourself?Setting up the southern side of the house while the backyard get's worked on. One more hoop frame to assemble with 30% shade cloth right next to the over with 70% for the maples. Metal hoops are empty, just there to slow the wind. Maples and fresh repots under the 70% cloth right now, everything else that can take full sun on the right side against the wall. JBP, trident, and BCs are the end. The area where the shade cloth is, is also under the canopy of 3 big post oaks. Shade cloth offers protection from the 1-5pm sun.
Watering system should be installed this week.
