What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

And found that rabbits completely girdled one of the gingkos I grew from seed. It happened a whole back and I put a cage around it, but I did not see they ate the bark off all the way around. Could've airlayerd it. Bottom part already calloused and top part is dying. Hopefully it'll spout from the roots.
Stupid rabbits. :(

Like the tree thread, a pic required w/each post. Just for fun.
I thought it would be a fun thread for everyone to post what the did today regarding their Bonsai collection, along the lines of the tree thread where a pic is required or it didn't happen w/your post. Before and after even better but not required.
Show us what you did with your bonsai today.
Got my Fukien tea ready to bring in. Night temperatures are now below 50 F so back to the window. Sprayed down with Neem and put a clean top dressing on. Removed large sacrifice branch and trimmed to shape.

I am growing primary branches for now probably close to spring ill cut all the branches back to visible sleeping buds to force it to wake them up so i get something to prune back to later on for tapered branches but this one has a long long way to go still.

One of our post docs landed a job at a company owned by one of our professors, and he lured me in with the promise of getting basically my own laboratory.
We will be investigating how DNA and RNA that "do nothing" on paper, actually plays a role in some diseases and if we're able to come up with cures or therapies.

My team gave me an awesome mug, so I drank coffee today!

Unfortunately fall bonsai work had to be delayed another weekend due to having a higher priority problem with our clothes dryer.

After 35 years, the exhaust pipe was clogged with lint and condensation was happening in the pipe causing the dryer to take 3x longer to dry. Replaced the whole line including the vent in the side of the house. Took us 2 days to get it all done. I'm exhausted.

The old exhaust line was no longer up to code anyway. At least now it is and I saved money doing it myself.
