When watching some Youtube videos I came across a video of a rare Japanese Cypress.
The video description and the comments don't say anything about the specific type of Cypress.

Does anybody know which species this is?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Japanese cypress is also known as Hinoki cypress, or Chamaecyparis obtusa. There are tons of dwarf Hinoki cultivars out there, but they all suffer from the same challenge - glacial rate of growth. Some cultivars do not grow 1" in a year. I don't know what cultivar is in this video, specifically, but you can check out cultivars here:

Interestingly, Iseli Nursery, one of the top developmental conifer nurseries in the US, has been working to come up with a solution to slow-growing dwarf Hinoki cypresses. Check out this plant:

The video description does say.
It's a "Sekka" Hinoki. It also does say it's rare, which is not so true.
They're actually more common in bonsai than the Tsuyama Hinoki. At least in Japan, they are pretty easy to get a hold of.

I know Chamaecyparis obtusa is called Hinoki and at first I also thought it was a Sekka Hinoki but it looks different that's why I asked the question.

I have a few Sekka Hinoki and also some Chirimen Hinoki in my garden but this one looks different.
