What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

I've just been staring at this little port that I plan to show at my clubs annual show. I need a pot for it.
Current training pot is 4 inches. I'm looking for something about 3.5 and 1 inch deep

Did you look at Chuck Iker's selection? He had several like that last week...

Picture tax--my latest purchase

I did, nothing caught my eye to be honest. Hoping someone might have any other suggestions. Even anything someone here might want to sell, within reason. Hopefully I can stay within my budget on this little guy1000004305.jpg
I thought about buying this one from my shop but I think it has far to small a footprint

Looks like a nice place to visit. I have a vacay coming up. I think me and DH are gonna go and see it.
Its a great park. There is hiking across the street at Tatum. Roses are on their way out right now. Early June is the ideal time to visit for the roses. Only need about 2hrs there.

I'll second @snowman04 , Robert has some great pots and incredibly reasonable prices. Also check out DMS Pottery on Etsy. Denise also makes great pots at reasonable prices.

The pot on the left below is from Robert, the pot on the right is from Denise. 2 of my favorites.

Those are nice!

My internet’s out and someone has asked me to “clean up” an old imported itoigawa juniper …so I’ve got time. I’m basically going to be taking care of this one for the foreseeable future. I watered it and watered it and fertilized it and noticed it drained poorly. Removed a lot of moss and some weeds and then soji’d the top ½-3/4” of soil to where I JUST got to friable soil, then came back and filled with a fresh layer of LaPumAka or whatever you’re calling it these days. Then proceeded to clean up the foliage and lighten up the canopy ever so slightly. On the bottom 20% or so I didn’t remove any healthy foliage so as to combat a bit of weakness down there. It got too dark for an after, so I’m just sharing the soji pics. Still need to brush the bark and maybe peel it in places.

Finally had the energy to sift some of my used soil and let it cook in the hot sun all day... unfortunately it was a bit cloudy

The combination of being very hot and windy ment the after market auto vent on the greenhouse was lifted to the moon and the damn thing blew off. Thankfully it is meant to do that and was undamaged.

Finished my Japanese Szechuanpepper composition (Zanthoxylum piperitum).

The Rock came today so obviously I wanted to finish my envisioned design. Really like it, especially the Bordeaux color, glazed pot, which matches the peppercorns color sproutes as they ripe to maturity.

Will let the tree grow to get established in the new pot. It was repotted, trimmed, Jin & Shari applied, last week. So it had quite a drastic change in environment over the last week (it was growing in a japanese training pot, the last months)...
Will further improve branching and Shari later this year... Btw. Tree was bought for 45€ in a german Bonsai nursery.

Now that I look at it it's amazing to see what it has become over the past months.

Also threw p. afra cuttings into soil.

Be careful making P. afra cuttings! They'll be everywhere. They're  worse than tribbles!

I was checking the temps on my trees today. The red dot is on the soil surface of my S curve scots pine.

My soil is really cookin' today!

I needed to put these junipers in the sun but didn’t have room and didn’t want to put them on the ground. Still need to finish tweaking the bigger one before I get some after pictures but this gives a sense of it.

Went back and took a second look. I would go with a smaller stone that doesn't take away from the tree...

Just my thought on it...

Looks like you need two more benches, or more will power. ;) That's the voice in my head that I don't listen too. :)

Nice looking Junipers.
