Where do y'all buy grafting pins? I've tried searching online, but I'm not able to find any suppliers. Most grafting supplies I find are knives, tape, etc. for grafting fruit trees and whatnot.

The grafting pins actually suck imo. They are meant to hold down tatami mats. The holding force relies on friction of the green plastic against the metal, and it does not hold very firmly. A strong scion could push it out. I just use regular thumbtacks now

I used Jonas's grafting pins for root grafts on a trident last year and they worked great. So mileage may vary but I recommend

Do y'all recommend his wire and tools? I've been wanting to get better bonsai supply and this website seems like a hail mary with almost everything I could want

I have had very good dealings with him in the past and everything I have ordered has arrived promptly. He carries Kaneshin tools which I like. I have ordered a good bit from him over the years and have been completely satisfied

Definitely check out his blog (it's on the same site) and the bonsai wire podcast. He is the expert on developing black pines (and highly knowledgeable across the board)
