Where can I find this watering can?

Just sayin’…buy once, cry once.
I know right?
..welll
Sorry Brian but you got a good one.
The one I bought tore up when the screen came
out of the rosette, so it got refunded
Then Frank said it is possible that quality had declined, so I switched brands.
I do recall that slot in the top not providing enough of a window to see crud or critters in the can on my Haws.
Now I'm wondering if my rosettes would fit the Haws. If the can holds up maybe I shoukd just bite the bullet and deal with the increaded rosette cleaning . Or devise a lid of sorts. My cans get a lot of crud in them that I could never see in the Haws.

Loving the Haws Selly Soak so far. The 90 degree attachment works great indoors.

I received the Haws can today. I’m impressed - yes, it’s quite a few more $$ than the big box plastic cans, but…

-It is shorter but has a larger diameter than the bigbox, I’m guessing its stated capacity of ~1.7 gallons is correct.
-It’s injection molded plastic versus vac formed, meaning it has significantly thicker walls - 2mm vs 0.5mm.
-Because it’s injection molded, it’s assembled with sonic welding or heat staking. There are reinforcements at all the joints, and the handle does not link to the bowl, only the nozzle tube intersects the bowl.
-I’m not sure on the uv resistance, so I’ll protect from the sun (and winter!).
-The rose is really nice, many small holes, nice!

I’ll try it out tomorrow, but everything is on point. With proper care, I can see this lasting at least a decade since I can make the vac formed cans last 3+ years. This is significantly more robust.

Is it worth the extra $$? It’s a personal call. I spent up for the Masakuni nozzle and am happy EVERY time I water. I was able to water fine for years with a dramm/melnor, but, like auto tools, it’s like @Brian Van Fleet said. It’s hard when it’s expensive but I’ve never been disappointed when spending the bucks for a top notch tool (especially when recommended by people I respect).

I wish I saw this thread when it started, I’d be at least $100 richer based on what I wasted on metal and plastic cans for fertilizing…

I’ve had a Haws (green one) for years and use it regularly to feed my trees. They’re great cans, though in the photo, the rosette is on upside down, which may be your problem.

Just looked at their website, and they’re out of business now. Amazon has them. They’re not cheap, but last forever.
I have the Haws too, for about 5 years. The plastic spout connector on the rose cracked, but I slapped a zip tie on it, and it's fine. Good can.

Do any of you Haws owners remove the metal screen in the rosette to clean out debris?
If so, do you have any problems getting the screen back in.?
I could not get mine back in place and is why I switched to Dramm which has had 7 out of 7 failures with a new 8th one ticking quickly to its end.

I hear you.

I do have an issue with the attachment of the rose.
It definitely seems like a ‘weak point’, although with the design, it’s possible to ‘fix’ it with a handyman solution (zip ties, hose clamp, etc).
Initially I thought it should be plastic threads, but that still has the same issue - the thermal expansion of the plastic isn’t conducive to that.
It probably should be a metal insert on both the can and rose - that would be more durable, but I can see that being a leak point leading to customer complaints (although easily resolved with Teflon tape).

Yeah, that seems like another issue. I can’t see removing the screen…so I will likely use a pin/needle on each hole. Maybe you can offer an unpaid apprenticeship and have them do it 🤔😂

No. I remove the whole rosette, soak it occasionally, and just shake the trash out of anything gets in. It’s easier to shake it down dry then hit it with a good blast of water to get the rest.

Thanks
I fill my watering cans inside the house mostly
and it's getting monotonous with one single can.
I will try another one. I do love the less steep angle of the spout on the Dramm and large opening on top, not its track record so much.
