What is causing this damage and how do I treat it

It looks like something is eating the tips of my tree. What is it? And how do I help?

Are you sure you did not prune the foliage with scissors, not pulled the tips off ?
Then it is probably fungal. More sun and ventlation.

I didn’t, but I’ve only had it for about 4 weeks. I don’t know what the nursery I bought it from did to it. They might’ve pinched off some foliage. Circulation and sun is already happening now, so i’ll just try not to worry and wait for spring.

I've had tips show up just like this on junipers that had a heavy pollen cone load in the spring. Since the cone is essentially the tip of the foliage and eventually dries up and falls off, it seems plausible that this is the end result.

I'm determined to pay more attention this coming spring to see if I can observe some direct correlation.
