Helped set up the "Bonsai and Blossoms" exhibit at the Sonoma Botanical Garden. This is the second year the botanical garden has partnered with REBS for the bonsai exhibit. The exhibit was excellent last year and I felt honored that the club invited me to submit some of my trees. Other members showing trees are Bob Shimon, Ivan Lukrich, George Haas, Alan Murakami, Michael Murtaugh, and Diane Matson.

Come check it out through March if you're in the area!20260107_110930.jpg20260107_114043.jpg20260107_114049.jpg20260107_114056.jpg20260107_114200.jpg20260107_114217.jpg20260107_114235.jpg20260107_115425.jpg20260107_115429.jpg

Set up and used my new potting bench 🙂 Was a belated xmas gift from my family. Was really nice to work at today and has freed up a fair bit of space (my old one was much deeper).

Then i repotted a little ficus needing an angle change (and a young boug 🙂).

Checking up on my nesting mourning dove. She hasn’t left her nest for 4 days now, so there must be eggs she’s incubating. She doesn’t seem to mind me anymore while I’m tinkering with my bonsai’s. I need to work on my three bald cypress trees, but that are right under her nest. She might take issue with that since her nest is only 4’ above them. If she leaves the next I can move them.

Finally getting a reprieve from the deep freeze we have been getting and its going to rain over the weekend. Managed to hobbies out to the yard and uncover the coldframe so the trees can get some water from the rain.

Sorry...no pictures of trees but here is a picture of me sitting in my chair with one of my furry nursemaids napping in my lap which is what I've been doing the most of lately.
