Is that overhead irrigation or light? Curious what emitters if irrigation.

Always love seeing your photos, thanks for posting

Edit: added a design of an embroidered patch I’m working on based on the Bonsai Q YouTube. I’ll post pics of the patch when I’m back at home

I took out a flying root that had been bothering me for over a decade. I also did a little soju (?) and replaced the top layer of (overflowing) soil, with some chopped spaghnum and a layer of fine Erie aggregate on top.

Thanks!. I think you're talking about the nozzles over my trees. The trees in the background have individual nozzles, while the trees in the tables are under a line of 7 head nozzles. Hope you can see it in this pic:

Also I noticed today that my pyracantha is sad and loosing berries.....

Some serious roots you got with it 👍
It's a good thing I dig my root balls oversized or I would have cut into the flare on this one, had no idea it looked like that under the soil. Didn't think i could shoehorn it into an Anderson flat, but it worked diagonally, barely.20260105_185041.jpg

Been watching my neighbors Plumeria tree grow this big seed pod. It should mature come spring. Not a tree you can bonsai, but I want to plant them and grow some little plumeria trees. This one has red blooms. Have to watch the pod closely because once it cracks open the seeds have wings and will all start flying away. The trick I think is to put a baggie over it when it gets close to keep them from getting away. Gotta keep satisfying my need to grow things. Haha!

Few days ago i went out on my balcony and moved all my trees into weird places and then got too overwhelmed to put it back.

Today I decide i needed to make a more typical stepped bonsai bench to fit into the sunniest corner.

After contemplating the scrap wood I have. I decided to start...

... with the only sharp saw I own....

Turns out my longest screws arnt long enough, so makeshift countersink

If I learnt anything from my month long intensive cabinetry course. Its that everything I'm about to do isn't standard 🙃

Speaking of which, my drill just ran out of battery

I haven't seen a nice Gent's Saw since, well, last time I went out to my shop - but Thanks. They don't seem to be common these days. ):
