Out for a walk at a local park and stumbled upon a pot that had a rogue oak, and one other unidentified tree in a pot. They were growing randomly in a plastic pot in a public place, tu ked behind some other debris. Think, fairgrounds. And yeah, I brought it home. Sorry for the background noise. Can't wait to do something come spring

Cleaned up the roots and potted up another one of the twin trunk American hornbeams I collected on Wednesday, and separated 2 of the smaller trees from the parent plants as well. Slowly piecing together smaller trees so the hitchhikers are just a bonus, plus they have nice movement. The smaller trunk is going to end up being cut low eventually. Barely squeezed into an Anderson flat.

Found it kind of nifty that where on of the smaller trees fused at the roots with the large twin trunk it created what looks like a knee.

They came, and they’re on. I bent them afterwards so they could be straight, but then it was too dark for a new photo

Also, it’s the very first time that I’ve done a thing with my trees and my wife noticed without having to show her

It looks very nice.

Thanks, I really want to lift the other things off the floor too, but with the benches I saw online might raise a toppling risk.

P.S. don’t let the people from the monstera groups see that mine is getting direct midday sun, they will crucify me.

P.S. P.S. happy new year everyone

Those are some nice air plants. What a great view they and you have. Very nice set up. I noticed what appears to be another bonsai. Happy New Year!IMG_1093.jpeg
