What’s your latest Bonsai related purchase?

Thanks me too. I think the crackly lines on the first picture look like a forest in the winter during a snow. But I may be a little cracked up. No 🍺involved, I swear.
Good! Crack and 🍺 don’t mix too well.. I’ve witnessed what happens when you mix the two on the news.

Not what I meant, but that's pretty damn funny.

Cudrania, now repotted and doing well after a rough shipping process

Nice. I had to look that one up, as the name confused me. I think the botanical name is Maclura triscuspidata, also known as Ch or Zhe in pinying Chinese. A sub-tropical culinary fruit somewhat related to what we in the USA know as Osage Orange, Maclura pomifera.

Interesting. I like the deadwood feature. This will be nice in time.

here’s a teeny Tosui with a shohin azalea behind it. now what do i put in here?

I know, it's tiny potatoes compared to the other pics here... Buuut, still fun.

Some new children just landed, a few minutes ago.
Actually the two Tridents to the left, I purchased locally a couple hours ago.
The rest arrived via USPS, and a day earlier than expected. YAY! LOL...
Now the long and fun journey begins.
8 Tridents
2 Chinese Elm
2 Quince
4 Zelkova
Probably going to plant them in the ground, and let 'em grow.

I’m also still searching for some larger materials, to start working with.
Any

I believe this one is Cudrania chochichinensis, with maclura being closely related. I've found several photos of Cudrania bonsai, including some very refined and obviously professional, but have been able to find very very little actually written about them

So.. Came home today, with 2 sisters.

Good thing too because roots were all but non-existent. Clearly dug a few weeks ago. In proper substrate now, waiting for spring to push some roots. Lets wish for a gentle not-too-dry-and-windy spring.

This ... plus 3 bags of deciduous/conifer mix.
does anyone have a good suggestion for scissors and knob cutters ?? New or used?
