I believe this one is Cudrania chochichinensis, with maclura being closely related. I've found several photos of Cudrania bonsai, including some very refined and obviously professional, but have been able to find very very little actually written about themNice. I had to look that one up, as the name confused me. I think the botanical name is Maclura triscuspidata, also known as Ch or Zhe in pinying Chinese. A sub-tropical culinary fruit somewhat related to what we in the USA know as Osage Orange, Maclura pomifera.
Interesting. I like the deadwood feature. This will be nice in time.
Leo is right I think the current name is maclura cudrania is the old name I have a small 2 year old plant in my rose bed it hardly hear but you may loose fine twigs under - 5c.
