A new pickup...

Yesterday I introduced some Shari, reduced the jins a bit, and repotted it into some fresh soil and an old Bigei pot.

This year, I'll pull in the apex a little, get the primary branches twisted up some more, and let it grow!

Cool, looking forward to the progression Brian, truly enjoyed your blog, good stuff

Brian,

This is a great little tree. Love the healthy foliage and exaggerated movement. Great Grab!

Nice Brian! do you know who grew this tree, is it from Japan? cool little tree you go there!

Nice trunk and line. Any provenance to go along with this one?

Update coming...
Here are a couple "before" and "during" shots.

Here it is; first wiring. Over the next year, I hope to tighten up and define foliage pads, and extend the Shari.

Thoughts and comments welcome.

Very graceful and meandering trunk. Is there a plan for the bottom right branch? It seems to be blocking that beautiful trunk.

Nice! Its getting the feel of a tree rather than a twist-um like many other junipers of this ilk.

Thanks, the bottom right branch was a bit challenging, but as the pads tighten up, I think I can get a better shape from it, but right now, it's covering a spot in the trunk I don't like a whole lot, where it curves to the back and looks thin.
