There was a wild Apple tree in my allotment that I'd chopped down to a stump and had been chopping and creating deadwood on while it was in the ground, was shaping up nicely, it's healthy and alive in this image.
Unknowingly another member had applied some weed killer to it and it was dead one spring when I went out View attachment 505610
Hi folks Im not sure what type apple, but it isnt crab....was planted in the allottment as a sapling 15-20 years ago. ive been eyeing it up for a while and had a good look at the base today. ive always admired the Nigel saunders apple, im sure some of you have seen it on youtube...if i could...
All the trees on this bench were some of the earliest trees in my collection. I don't have any of them now, but I know 2 of them are dead from talking to the owners.
This nana in particular I miss dearly. I sold it probably 2/3 years ago and it's still alive. The current owner offered it back to me, but at a higher price and recovering from spidermites.
This is a Tilia cordata, after the styling I decided to put it in the ground for a bit, I had many trees at the time and needed space. One summer I went out to the grow bed to find that Foxes has dug it up, such a shame
