Too Tall Chinese Juniper

I got this tree free of the curb full of give away items from a neighbor. I tried grafting it lower on the trunk but it didn't take. I think grafting is difficult when the graft is soo far away from the foliage. Anyway, last night I just decided to go for it and work with what I have. The deadwood needs a lot of work but I will get that done it time.

Here is a couple of pics. First, is how It looked before wiring, the second is the failed attempt at grafting and the last couple are after wiring.
