Tilia Cordata (Linden) #1

Another one without an update in a while... Fertilized it heavily, will let grow out and try the defoliation again like last year plus some structural pruning. Seemed to have responded well.

Pulled this out tonight. It was waaayyy overgrown and that was with a late spring prune as well. I cut back all the crazy extensions except three sacrifices at the top of the tree which Ill let continue to run the rest of the year. I wired them close to each other so they wouldnt sprawl onto other trees. There is a good candidate for an air layer at the top of the tree as well. I replaced the fertilizer baskets also. Tomorrow Ill decide if I want to take any prunings for cuttings. I have them in water now.

Next year Ill repot this tree. I marked it with a yellow wire nut to remind me. The blue wire nuts are indications I have both progression thread and photo-file for the tree.

Brought in for winter work including cutting back the sacrifices. trying to get more cuttings from them as well. Ill repot in spring, let grow out again for another two years in this grow box. Probably look to get into a training pot in '28 or '29.
