It’s nice to come home from Nationals and still be in love with your own trees. It’s wet and foggy out, but I’m still enjoying this Arakawa, which has taught me a lot about maples. Bugs and tree frogs are louder than the Swans I’m listening to. These are the nights that are rare.

Apart from the initial structural wire I’m trying to build this flowering quince completely with scissor work from here on out. First cut back of the season, 2nd season from nursery stock.
