Still several years out till this one is great, but it’s got great promise. Needs a large pot for proper development. Next year. Even in a small pot though the trunk has developed considerably from last year when I started this guy. It grows prolifically. Decided to let it flower at this point. Dark Knight Blue Mist spirea (Caryopteris clandonensis)

Here’s a buttonwood I’ve had in a larger pot just growing unchecked. Wasn’t real happy with it and have been patiently waiting to figure out some sort of plan of action for this tree. The larger pot it was in broke about a year ago it was cheap and I just put the puzzle pieces back together and wrapped it up in red duct tape... gtg!

Realizing I still don’t have much of a plan I figured at least sort of a hedge prune to somewhat of a silhouette. Maybe even a repot into this Japanese container from 1977 I’ve had in my arsenal on standby awaiting something decent!
