Squirrels are destroying my Chinese elm!

Where did you get your blowgun? Always looking for new anti-squirrel weaponry.
Wow, good question. I've had it since I was 13/14ish? Let's just generalize and say it's ±30 years old. A squirrel was the first thing I shot with it. 20 feet straight up a tree, right through the chin, sticking out the top of its head. I was proud and ashamed simultaneously.

I had birds that kept trying to build nest on my porch. I had Squirrels getting on top of my house from my privacy wall. The rubber snakes stopped both from happening.

Try rubber snakes
LOL
That will work, assuming they don't meet the same fate as my neighbor's fake snakes. He put some in his mulberry tree, and a Mississippi Kite swooped down and took it one day. He showed me on his RingCam.

If you're looking for natural "cures," maybe get a falcon or red-tailed hawk. 😆

I don't have a squirrel issue here. But I'm wondering if anyone has tried those mechanical owls. I'm asking about the ones that move their heads randomly. I've also been told it's possible to have certain ones with occasional and random sounds. I know it's important, as with any "scarecrow" type device, to have it moved to new locations and removed totally at random intervals to keep the varmints guessing.
