Wow, good question. I've had it since I was 13/14ish? Let's just generalize and say it's ±30 years old. A squirrel was the first thing I shot with it. 20 feet straight up a tree, right through the chin, sticking out the top of its head. I was proud and ashamed simultaneously.
I had birds that kept trying to build nest on my porch. I had Squirrels getting on top of my house from my privacy wall. The rubber snakes stopped both from happening.

That will work, assuming they don't meet the same fate as my neighbor's fake snakes. He put some in his mulberry tree, and a Mississippi Kite swooped down and took it one day. He showed me on his RingCam.
My avian veterinarian was also a falconer. He would not fly his birds at squirrels because the squirrels would bite their toes off. He told me that I could put any squirrels I killed in the freezer and he would happily feed them to his hawks.
