Bad news.. The show is in 5 weeks, and the tree is pushing hard with daytime temps about 20F higher than normal..
Sitting in a closed garage during the day, and outside in front of an open garage at night, aiming at keeping it as cold as possible.

So just trying to slow flower buds or leaves as well? Don’t floral wholesalers use refrigeration to force the timing to be what they want? You just need to get a big tree fridge… beautiful tree. I am on the fence for the pot, I’d like to see a less active pot to put the emphasis on the tree. But it is a beauty.

Beautiful specimen. Super jealous.. I have a handful of Korean lilacs and am struggling with a pot color at the moment same story pretty much as your tree. Anyway I love your the new pot and color very much, I wouldn't change it for nothins
Thx. This will be in a show in 3 weeks. I am really pushing to keep it cold, so it does not flower before then (Or at least has a decent dress of flowers left!)
