Show off your spring maple foliage! (Photos required)

My maples are lame this year, not much sun last year, and no sun so far since I have not been able to relocate them out to the backyard.

Shin Deshojo, I was surprised that Shin Deshojo is very similar to the color of Baton Rouge once it lost the full reddish color.

My Kotohime, Arakawa, and the few momiji that I have didn't show any colors at all.

@Bonsai Nut, what a blank foliage for a butterfly. It must sit at a really shady position to show this much "blank".

It was actually in fun sun. I agree - it is showing more white this year than in previous years, but I have not done anything different. No repotting - no unusual fertilizing.

Meanwhile I have other cultivars that normally show variegation that are showing less. I have an ikandy that is normally very showy. This year it looks like a plain green JM with almost zero variegation.

I get many volunteers. Mostly big leaf, silver and assorted japanese maples among numerous other trees. Last year this one put a pause on my lawn mowing opperatiom. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to identify it. And the the old ones infront of the house. Been here a long time.
