No idea. It’s imported and I suspect it’s a named cultivar, but will never know for sure.

PM sent - I've ship thousands to the USA and continue to do so

and here is the mandatory spring foliage picture for the thread: this time, it's NOMURA -- a cultivar I received from Japan this year and know very little about. It is cutting-grown, and I was told it's great for bonsai. I have no seen any mature bonsai created with this cultivar

Not sure what cultivar this is. Judging from the stem, the closest that I came was A p Kashima. But the foliage points elsewhere.
