Season to take Chinese Elm, Gingko, and Bakd Cypress cuttings?

Now the question is how the heck do I separate it so I can just pot it up.
Chop below the container then you should be able to ease the plastic container off the chopped trunk and new root mass by pulling downwards. I assume there is a split in the container or else how did you get it round the trunk? Open the split a bit to help get it off.
Usually much easier to get the container off the chopped trunk than it was to get it on an intact trunk.

It was a success :)

I set up a very nice indoor grow tent to shield some of my trees from the harsh santa ana winds that dry everything out. I stuck it in there after I separated it, and it is now in full leaf looking health and strong.

I still haven't trimmed my large chinese elm... my cuttings from last spring have new growth on them, so I am going to prune and try rooting all these runners. They have pushed their buds out already and have leaves on them now. Not sure if the timing is bad since they have already pushed out growth.
