Next forest I think. This one is wired down already. I left some space anticipating trunk growth in the next few years.View attachment 427968
I would suggest moving the two trees on the right either closer in to the main tree if possible, or moving them into 1 or 2 of the yellow circle areas.
Still plenty of time. We have such a long growing season. I just keep it in partial shade while it recovers from drastic root prune. All the trees will be chopped later this year.nice work! I was planning the same. I have a bunch ready to go but I was kind of thinking I missed the window since they’re out of dormancy and pushing growth. Not the case? Thx
Awesome, I’ll be proceeding then. Thx!Still plenty of time. We have such a long growing season. I just keep it in partial shade while it recovers from drastic root prune. All the trees will be chopped later this year.
Looks great Cjr.What do you think? Tell me ASAP. I will be trimming roots soon to fit.
Extra negative space will be there when it is moved to permanent oval pot.

On the back of the forest, I have a few seedlings coming up. I will see how they fit into the design of this forest. BC seedlings grow very fast. Managed correctly I think they will add to the perception of depth for the forest.
The biggest tree in this forest is from that air layer.Really nice forest developing there. Curious did the air layer on the big tree take?. Tried an air layer myself a couple of years ago and it failed. Trying to work out the best way to try propagate these guys as I would like more. Trees and seed seem impossible to find by in my country .
I take that back. The biggest tree was from a previous air layer. The air layer from this one I can’t remember. The biggest tree in this forest is from that air layer.
Uh oh... looks like your collection will be moving to Houston soon.I take that back. The biggest tree was from a previous air layer. The air layer from this one I can’t remember.
