I think the designs could be a little more refined... but you keep saying that is David's style, so as long as you are aware of it, that's all that matters. I wouldn't be wiring some of that material because it would already be gone

I tried to talk him into letting me remove a couple of the major branches on this one. No dice. Thats okay though, more branches to practice my wiring on.

Did a little digging earlier this month. Got snowed out, so only came home with one tree. A one seed juniper.

Repotting time for conifers. We’ve done about 2 dozen trees so far, including some very large California Junipers and black pines.

The One Seed Junipers we collected in December seem to be doing well. The foliage greened up on the big one, it was pretty yellow at the time of collection.

I finally had a free day to go work on a tree. I wired up this Itoigawa. Well, my teacher wired the drop branch before I got there, I did the rest.

I finally got a chance to work on one of my personal trees last weekend. This is a grafted Kishu that I purchased from Roy Nagatoshi as raw stock two years ago.

Here’s another personal tree. I got this azalea 2 years ago for free from home depot, they were about to throw it out. It was about a 3’ ball of spindly branches, I chopped it way back, and it mostly died, but it did sprout a little. This year I styled it and its finally giving me some decent flowers. Still a ways to go with it.

Crazy work schedule has kept me away for months, but I finally got a chance to work on a new tree. After a day I got the right side wired out.
